Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Amendary is supplied by Data Foundry Ε.Ε. (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between us and the business or organisation that uses Amendary (“you”). The person who accepts them confirms they may do so for that organisation. Amendary is a business service and is not offered to consumers.

2. How you buy Amendary

• Paid plans and credit packs are sold by Polar Software, Inc. (“Polar”) as merchant of record and authorised reseller. You buy from Polar under the Polar buyer terms.
• Polar handles checkout, payment, tax, invoices and receipts. We never see your card details.
• We supply the service, and your right to use it comes from these terms.
• If the Polar buyer terms and these terms differ on payment, tax, cancellation or refunds, the Polar buyer terms apply. On everything else, these terms apply.

3. The service

• Amendary works with docs and help articles in Notion, GitHub (a docs folder or wiki), Zendesk Guide and Intercom Articles.
• It reads what shipped (code changes and releases in your GitHub repos, or a changelog URL you give it) and the pages and articles you choose to watch.
• It drafts corrections, shows the change behind each one, and applies them after you approve. If you turn on automatic mode, it can apply some corrections without review (see section 10).
• Applied corrections keep the original text so you can undo them from Amendary.
• It can also generate new docs, suggest diagrams and run a cleanup report.
• It never changes your code. It writes to a GitHub repo only where an owner turns on GitHub docs for that repo.
• We may change features over time. Features marked early access are provided as they are and may change or be withdrawn.

4. Accounts

• You sign in with Google or GitHub. Keep that account secure.
• You are responsible for what people you invite to your team do in Amendary.
• Owners control connections, settings, billing and deletion.
• Tell us at hello@amendary.com straight away if you think someone has misused your access.

5. Free trial

• New teams get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed.
• The trial is review only: every correction waits for your approval. Its limits are shown on the pricing page.
• When the trial ends, scheduled checks stop until you subscribe. Your data stays until you delete it.

6. Subscriptions and credits

• A subscription is a flat monthly fee, billed in advance. It covers daily checks and corrections and is never metered.
• Credits are spent on two things only: generation (new docs, changelog backfills, diagram suggestions and missing-language drafts) and the cleanup report. We show the estimate before a run starts.
• The first paid month includes starting credits, granted once.
• Credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and end when the team is deleted.
• Prices and plan limits are those shown when you order.
• We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your subscription.
• If your team uses its own Anthropic API key, model use is billed to you by Anthropic under your own agreement with Anthropic, and no credits are spent.

7. Cancellation and refunds

• You can cancel at any time from “Manage billing” in Amendary, which opens the Polar customer portal.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. You keep access until then.
• Polar handles refunds under its buyer terms and refund policy. Fees for periods that have passed and credits already bought are not refunded, unless the law or Polar’s policy requires it.
• Cancelling does not delete your data. Section 13 explains deletion.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use Amendary to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
• connect accounts, repos or documents you are not allowed to connect;
• send malware or harmful content;
• get around plan limits, credits or usage caps;
• disrupt the service, reverse engineer it, or test its security without our written permission;
• resell it or build a competing product from it.

Do not connect content with secrets or special category personal data (for example health data) unless we have agreed in writing that Amendary is suitable for it.

9. Your content

• You own your code, docs, articles, images and everything else you connect (“your content”). You also own the drafts Amendary makes for you, to the extent we hold any rights in them.
• You give us a non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, send and change your content, only to provide the service to you. This includes sending it to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. The licence ends when your content is deleted.
• We keep your content confidential. We do not sell it or use it to train AI models.
• You confirm you have the rights needed to give us this licence.
• Where your content holds personal data, we process it for you as your processor. A Data Processing Addendum (DPA) is available on request.
• If you send us feedback, we may use it without any duty to you.

10. AI drafts and automatic mode

• Drafts are written by an AI model (Anthropic’s Claude). They can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing them before you approve them.
• Automatic mode is off by default. Only an owner can turn it on, and it needs a paid plan or your own Anthropic key. Once it is on, corrections that pass our checks are published without review. You are responsible for the changes it publishes.
• Undo depends on the page not having changed since. We do not promise every change can be undone. Keep your own backups of important docs.
• Amendary’s output is not legal or other professional advice.

11. Third-party platforms

• Your use of Zendesk, Intercom, Notion, GitHub, Google and (if you use your own key) Anthropic is governed by your own agreements with them.
• Amendary is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Zendesk, Intercom, Notion or GitHub. Their names are trademarks of their owners.
• We are not responsible for their outages, their API changes, or changes to the access they give you.
• Disconnecting a platform in Amendary stops our access to it. For GitHub and Notion, also remove Amendary in that platform’s settings to revoke access there.

12. Availability and support

• We work to keep Amendary running and to fix problems quickly. We do not promise a set uptime or offer a service level agreement.
• The service may pause for maintenance or when a provider it depends on is down.
• Support is by email at hello@amendary.com.

13. Suspension, termination and data deletion

• We may suspend all or part of your access (for example, automatic mode) if you break these terms, a payment fails, there is a security risk, or the law requires it. Where we can, we tell you first and restore access once the problem is fixed.
• You can end these terms at any time by deleting your team in Settings.
• We may end them if you seriously break these terms and do not fix it within 14 days of our notice, or straight away if the breach is severe or the law requires it.
• If we stop offering Amendary, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and arrange a refund of fees paid for any period after it ends.
• An owner can export the team’s data from Settings at any time.
• Deleting a team revokes our access to your connected platforms where they allow it, removes your Polar customer record, and deletes the team’s data.
• If you ask us in writing, we delete your team within 30 days. After these terms end, we delete any remaining team data within 90 days.
• Backups and provider logs expire on their own schedule, as the Privacy Policy explains.

14. Disclaimer

Apart from what these terms say, Amendary is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we give no other warranties, including that the service will be error free or that drafts will be accurate.

15. Liability

• Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or goodwill.
• Each party’s total liability under these terms is limited to the fees paid for Amendary in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.
• These limits do not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence, to your payment obligations, or to anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

16. Indemnity

• You will defend us against third-party claims that your content, or your use of Amendary in breach of section 8, infringes their rights or breaks the law, and pay the damages and reasonable costs finally awarded.
• We will defend you against third-party claims that the Amendary software itself infringes their intellectual property rights, and pay the damages and reasonable costs finally awarded. This does not cover your content, AI drafts, or third-party platforms.
• The party asking for protection must tell the other promptly, let it control the defence, and give reasonable help.

17. Changes to these terms

• We post every new version on this page with its effective date.
• We email team owners at least 30 days before a material change applies.
• If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your team before the change applies.
• If you keep using Amendary after that date, the new terms apply.

18. Law and courts

These terms are governed by Greek law. The competent courts of Greece have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

19. General

• These terms, the Privacy Policy and any DPA or written order we sign with you are the whole agreement.
• You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them with the business.
• If one part is invalid, the rest still applies.
• Not enforcing a right straight away does not waive it.
