Connect Intercom Articles

Amendary reads your Intercom Articles and their translations. When a release makes an article wrong, it drafts the fix in every language for you to approve.

What you need

  • An Intercom workspace hosted in the United States, Europe or Australia.
  • An Intercom teammate who can install apps.
  • What your articles follow: a GitHub repo connected to Amendary, or your public changelog. An owner sets it.

Connect

  1. On the Pages tab select Add destination, then Intercom.
  2. Under Where your Intercom workspace is hosted, pick United States, Europe or Australia. Select Sign in with Intercom.
  3. Intercom shows what Amendary asks for: read and list articles, and read and write articles. Select Authorize access. If you cancel, nothing is saved.
  4. You land on the Intercom tab. Your workspace shows as a card with its region.

Amendary never sees your password and cannot read conversations or contacts. Intercom access does not expire, so you sign in once.

Choose what help articles follow

  1. On the Intercom card, open the Help articles follow list. An owner picks one:
    • a GitHub repo, to check its releases or commits;
    • a changelog you saved before;
    • Changelog URL, then paste the address and select Save.
  2. There is no Browse button until this is set. See Help articles follow for how each source works.

Watch articles

  1. Select Browse on the card. You see your collections and articles.
  2. Select Watch on an article, or Watch on a collection to watch every article in it.
  3. Watching an article watches all its languages. Only published articles are listed. Drafts are not.

What Amendary changes

When you select Update in Intercom on a fix in the Queue, Amendary:

  • changes the body of the article and each translation, in place;
  • keeps a published language published and a draft a draft;
  • writes nothing if the article changed since the fix was drafted.

It never:

  • publishes, unpublishes or deletes an article;
  • edits a block with an image or other markup.

Generate can add new articles. Each is saved as a draft in the collection you choose. You publish it in Intercom.

Languages

  • One approval fixes every Ready language. A language Amendary is not sure about says Check it or Not found and waits for you.
  • Set the languages every article should have under Help-center languages in Settings, Integrations.
  • For a missing language, open the watched article on the Pages tab. Under Missing languages, select Draft translation. It is saved as a draft in Intercom.
  • More in Help-center languages.

Try the release workflow

Once connected, follow Update Intercom articles after a release to check a release, review the fix in each language and update the article.

Disconnect

  • An owner selects the … menu on the Intercom card, then Disconnect. Settings, Integrations has the same button.
  • Nothing in Intercom changes. Amendary revokes its access, stops watching the articles, and deletes its token, fixes and check results.
  • Removing the app in Intercom does the same.

Troubleshooting

Sign-in errors, missing articles and checks with no result are in Troubleshooting. Fixes follow the Help center review mode. See Review and undo. Sign-in steps checked against Intercom’s OAuth guide on 21 October 2026.
