Ferndesk Alternative: Keep Your Help Center

Ferndesk is a help center with an AI agent that keeps it current. Amendary does not host a help center. It fixes the one you already have. Facts about Ferndesk below are as of 21 October 2026, from the public pages listed at the end.

What Ferndesk does

  • Hosts your help center on your own domain or at /help, with a public help center and an in-app widget with AI conversations.
  • Its agent, Fern, checks articles against your product, fixes outdated content, drafts missing articles, updates from pull requests and re-takes screenshots when the UI changes.
  • Imports existing docs. Ferndesk says migration takes about 10 minutes and keeps your URLs.
  • API and MCP access, scheduled audits, and 5 translated languages on the Pro plan.

Pick Ferndesk if you want one product that hosts the help center and keeps it current, if you are ready to move your articles, or if screenshots matter to you.

Where Amendary differs

  • Change-driven. Amendary starts from what shipped: a commit, a GitHub release, a tag or a dated entry in your public changelog. It finds the articles that change made wrong and shows the evidence next to each fix. See What shipped.
  • Every language. In GitHub, Zendesk and Intercom, a source correction can be carried into existing translations. Notion pages are checked individually. Code checks that every number, version, URL and name is kept, and holds any language it cannot prove. See Languages.
  • Keeps your current help center. Amendary edits the articles you already have in Notion, GitHub, Zendesk Guide or Intercom Articles, in place. It does not host a help center or ask you to move. Published articles stay published.
  • Review and undo. New teams start on Review first. An applied fix can be undone for 30 days. See Review and undo.
  • Flat price. From 39 euro a month per workspace, or free with your own Anthropic key. See the pricing page.

What we did not check

The Ferndesk pricing page does not list the price of extra seats, conversations or languages. It lists 10 or more integrations, but we could not confirm a direct sync with Intercom, Zendesk or Help Scout. Older Ferndesk help articles show different prices, so check the pricing page before you decide.
