Zendesk Knowledge Tools vs Amendary

Zendesk Guide has AI tools to draft, edit and find gaps in help articles. Amendary works on the same Guide articles, but starts from what your team shipped. Facts about Zendesk below are as of 21 October 2026, from the public pages listed at the end.

What Zendesk does

  • AI help center tools: Zendesk lists a Knowledge builder that generates a knowledge base from ticket history and business context, and generative editing tools that expand, simplify, change tone and translate articles.
  • Support topic identification: it spots common themes in your tickets and recommends new articles. It also tracks article performance, so you can edit or archive weak ones.
  • Bulk updates, approval workflows, scheduled publishing and verification intervals for articles.
  • Content Cues, an older Guide tool for suggested topics and articles to review, has been removed. Zendesk has announced its removal in a notice titled “Announcing the removal of Guide Content Cues”.

Pick Zendesk's tools if tickets are your main signal for what is missing or weak, if you want help writing new articles inside Guide, or if you are already on a Zendesk plan that includes them.

Where Amendary differs

  • Change-driven. Amendary starts from what shipped: a commit, a GitHub release, a tag or a dated entry in your public changelog. It finds the articles that change made wrong and shows the evidence next to each fix. See What shipped.
  • Every language. In GitHub, Zendesk and Intercom, a source correction can be carried into existing translations. Notion pages are checked individually. Code checks that every number, version, URL and name is kept, and holds any language it cannot prove. See Languages.
  • Keeps your current help center. Amendary edits the articles you already have in Notion, GitHub, Zendesk Guide or Intercom Articles, in place. It does not host a help center or ask you to move. Published articles stay published.
  • Review and undo. New teams start on Review first. An applied fix can be undone for 30 days. See Review and undo.
  • Flat price. From 39 euro a month per workspace, or free with your own Anthropic key. See the pricing page.

Side by side

Starts from

Zendesk: Your tickets and article performance: what customers ask about and which articles do poorly.

Amendary: What shipped: commits, releases, tags or your public changelog, matched to the articles they made wrong.

Where it works

Zendesk: Inside Zendesk Guide.

Amendary: Your existing Zendesk Guide articles, in place. Notion, GitHub and Intercom Articles too.

Languages

Zendesk: Generative editing tools can translate content. The pages we read do not say how a fix to one article reaches its other languages.

Amendary: One approval carries a fix into every translation your plan covers, and a language is held when a number, version, URL or name does not match.

Price

Zendesk: Suite Team $55 per agent per month billed yearly ($69 monthly). Suite Professional $115 yearly ($149 monthly). Copilot add-on $50 per agent per month, paid yearly. The pricing page does not list a price for the knowledge tools alone.

Amendary: Flat per workspace from 39 euro a month, or free with your own Anthropic key. Not per agent.

What we did not check

We could not find Zendesk's own documentation for a feature called Knowledge copilot, so we do not describe it. The Zendesk pages we read do not say which plan or add-on includes each knowledge feature. The Zendesk Copilot add-on is listed on the pricing page, and we could not confirm that it covers help center maintenance. We could not open the Content Cues removal notice itself, only its title in search. Confirm details with Zendesk.
