Team & settings

Everything here lives under Settings in the app. Team settings are changed by owners. Email notifications are your own.

What can owners and members do?

A team has two roles. Members can connect integrations, map pages and act on corrections. Owners can do all of that, plus:

  • invite people, change roles and remove members
  • rename the team and choose the review mode
  • set the daily spend limit and the monthly alert
  • edit the writing style
  • create and revoke API keys
  • subscribe, manage billing and buy credits
  • disconnect GitHub or a Notion connection, and turn on GitHub docs writes for a repo
  • export or delete the team

A team always keeps at least one owner. The last owner cannot be demoted, removed or leave: promote another owner first, or delete the team. There is no limit on members, and the price does not depend on how many you have.

How do invitations work?

On Settings, Members, an owner enters an email address and picks Owner or Member. Amendary emails the invite. If the email cannot be sent, the owner gets the invite link to share.

The link works once and expires after 7 days. The person must sign in with the same email address the invite was sent to. Someone with a pending invite who signs up is taken to the invite instead of getting a new empty team.

Pending invites are listed on the same page, and an owner can revoke one. Inviting the same address again replaces the old link.

Which emails does Amendary send?

Each person sets their own email preferences on Settings, General. All three are on by default:

  • Weekly digest: pages updated automatically, what is waiting for review, and failed checks from the last 7 days. It is skipped when there is nothing to report.
  • Corrections awaiting review: at most one email a day while corrections or product-update drafts wait in the Queue. Snoozed corrections are not counted.
  • Trial ending soon: one reminder in the last three days of the trial, saying what pauses and what stays.

The digest and the review email stop while scheduled checks are paused.

What is the daily spend limit?

A cost circuit breaker for the team’s AI usage. When the team’s tokens for the day reach the limit, checks pause until midnight UTC, and Activity records that the limit was reached. Settings, Usage shows today’s use against the limit.

Owners pick a preset (500k, 1M, 2M or 5M tokens a day), Unlimited, or their own number. 0 means no limit. A team that never set one uses a server default. The monthly alert is softer: crossing it adds an entry to Activity and stops nothing.

The limit is about usage, not billing. The subscription price stays the same either way (see Billing & plans).

How do I set the writing style?

Settings, Writing style controls how corrections and generated pages read. Everyone can see it. Owners edit it.

  • Skills: named packages of writing rules. Pick the ones that fit your docs, or write your own.
  • Instructions, terminology and examples: voice and house rules, preferred terms, list, heading and code formatting, and one to three snippets that sound right. Terminology applies to customer-facing pages, and to technical pages if you turn that on.
  • Learned voice: Amendary reads pages you pick from a Notion connection and describes their voice. It is used as a description, never as rules.
  • Preview on a correction: re-drafts one pending correction under the saved style. Nothing is written to the page or the Queue.

On the Pages tab, an owner can also give a single page its own skills and tone.

How do I export or delete our data?

Both are on Settings, Advanced, and both are owner-only.

Export team data downloads a JSON file: the team, members, connections, repos, pages and mappings, change summaries, corrections, activity, usage, writing style and generation runs. OAuth tokens and webhook URLs are left out.

Delete team asks you to type DELETE. Amendary first uninstalls its GitHub App (unless another Amendary team uses the same installation), revokes each Notion connection and removes the team’s customer record at Polar. Then it deletes all of the team’s data. If a revoke fails, nothing is deleted, so you can try again. This cannot be undone.

Delete my account deletes you, not only this team. Every team where you are the only owner is deleted the same way. Teams you co-own or only belong to stay, and you leave them. Your login is removed. If that step fails, the app says so and asks you to contact hello@amendary.com.

To leave a team without deleting anything, use Leave team on Settings, Members. What Amendary stores, and what deletion removes, is on the Security page.

Try Amendary on your own docs

Connect GitHub and the docs you already keep in Notion or GitHub. During setup you can replay a recent release against your help pages to see what Amendary would draft, with its evidence.

Free for 7 days, no card. Every edit waits for your review unless an owner turns on auto mode. Code is never touched.
